It’s an open secret that Black Rice also known as Chak-Hao (in Manipur, India) or Kalo Dhaner Chal (in Bangladesh), is a superfood. It is believed that in Ancient China, this rice was reserved only for Royalty and common folks were banned from eating it due to its superior quality, giving it another name Forbidden Rice.
